Letter from Our CEO
Summary
- Four decades of growth at Sedgwick Richardson have been built on one constant: people, partnerships, and a genuine belief in the power of branding.
- Expansion across Asia has been purposeful rather than opportunistic, always rooted in purpose-led brand strategy and meaningful client relationships.
- The conviction that brands should create positive, lasting impact has remained unchanged, even as markets, technologies, and consumer expectations have evolved dramatically.
- In an increasingly complex world, strategic branding is not a luxury; it is the clearest tool organisations have to build clarity, trust, and differentiation.
- The focus remains firmly on the future, continuing to build enduring brands that inspire confidence and create lasting value across Asia and beyond.
Dear colleagues, partners and friends,
This year, Sedgwick Richardson turns 40. It’s a milestone that invites me to pause and reflect on the journey that has shaped who we are today and who we continue to become.
When I look back, what stands out is not just the projects or the brands we’ve helped shape. It’s the people—the colleagues who’ve poured their energy into their work, the clients who’ve trusted us with their ambitions and the partners who’ve walked alongside us. Without you, none of this would have been possible.
The world has changed a lot since we began forty years ago. From our origins in London, we have grown across Asia, with teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines. We have adapted through new technologies, new expectations and new challenges. But one thing has stayed the same: our belief that brands can and should make a positive impact. That belief has guided us through every chapter.
We have seen that growth is not measured only in numbers, but in mindset. Progress is not always loud, but it endures. Innovation matters most when it serves people, cultures and communities. Sustainability is not a trend—it has been part of our agenda for decades.
As I think about what’s next, I believe our role has never been more important. The challenges ahead—economic, social and environmental—are complex and for businesses present risks as well as opportunities. Our responsibility is clear: to build brands that matter for the future we all want. That’s what will guide us into the next chapter.
So, I want to thank you—our team, past and present, for your creativity and commitment. And to our clients and partners, for your trust. You’ve allowed us to do work that matters.
As we celebrate this milestone, my eyes are firmly on the future. Together, we will continue to build brands that endure, that inspire and that leave a mark worth making.
With gratitude,
Gareth Richardson
